The Giraffe is the tallest land animal. Though the average height is 14ft (3.5m) to 17ft (5.2m) tall, the tallest one ever recorded stood a whopping 20ft (6m). Giraffes prefer the savannas and grassland, and can be found from central to South Africa. When at water holes, giraffes consume large quantities of water to enable them to survive for extended periods of time in drier places.
"The giraffe is such a docile, sweet animal. What fascinates, I think, everyone about the giraffe is its exceptionally long neck. For me however, their eyes and eyelashes capture my attention. They always remind me of a girl batting her eyelashes in a flirtatious manner, and it makes me smile.
